YOU MET IT HERE

YOU MET IT HERE
SERMON BY Mfon Tommy, Peace Ark Ministry
May you not regret your life and times during your last days on earth. Amen. This is my question to you: Can you recall the events of your life within your first two years here on earth? Certainly not. That means you met everything here when your eyes eventually opened, and you will leave all of it behind when your eyes finally close forever, because YOU MET THEM HERE. This fact will make us live the best of our life here on earth, knowing fully well that everything here is borrowed.
Bitterness, darkness, sadness, and all negativity should be eradicated from our space. Life is too interesting to be mixed with all that. If there is anything we should learn about life, it is what the preacher captures in Ecclesiastes 5:15: "Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands." What a sad reality: we met everything here and will leave them here. It doesn't matter how long we stay here; we will exit one day. Live well, make good choices, eat well, and be satisfied in spirit and body, so that you won't regret or lament not living your best. Look away from trouble and situations; focus on how happy you could be while here. Be it trouble, sickness, disease, pains, and the likes, you met them here on earth, and when you leave, they won't go with you.
A lot of people save money; they don't eat, dress, and live well, only for the savings to be used for medical bills because they didn't take good care of themselves. While saving is good, using it to your advantage is also commendable. Don't let unending responsibilities make you forget yourself.
Ecclesiastes 5:16-18 says: "This too is a grievous evil: As everyone comes, so they depart, and what do they gain, since they toil for the wind? All their days they eat in darkness, with great frustration, affliction, and anger. This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink, and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot."
Get some money from your labor and toils; get the best food that satisfies your hunger; eat it till you are filled, and your soul finds happiness. Even if you refuse to eat today, they will still eat at your burial.
You met all here, and you will leave them here.Selah...
