WHO RAISED YOU? - A TEACHING BY M TOMMY,LEAD PASTOR,PEACE ARK MINISTRY.

The question "who raised you?" becomes compelling to everyone seeking growth and leadership. i have met people, conversed with them and tend to ask these three questions after each interaction; who raised you? where were you raised? how were you raised? because every time you open your mouth to speak, it will reflect your background and raises the above questions.

In the book of first Samuel 18:30, King Saul asked the young David "Whose son are you?" that question was very neccessary and petinent because of the bravery defense of David on how he would defeat the giant,Goliath. Saul asked to know if he was a son of a renoun warrior or from the family of warlords. this is exactly what i said earlier, when you converse, the question "who raised you?" would surely pop up. sometimes, it is asked negatively because of your inabilities and poorly exhibition.

Our lives constantly reflect our upbringing, giving room for questions and thoughts that could mar or make us. Everyone of us should guide our actions to align with family values and Godly pattern. Let it be that when men inquire about our background; bravery,courage,kindness,love and other positive character is the basis, not the other way round.

As Christians, our core values and the fruit of the Holy Spirit should always be seen in us. We represent an entity that is blameless and such should be us. All of us are branches and fruits from one mighty tree and every tree is known by it fruit. A fruit can't be different from the tree- Mathew 12:33.

Act 8:30 talks about a man that was reading the book of Isaiah but couldn't understnd untill God sent Philip to help him out. The man in context  answered Philip "How will i know except someone teaches me" when he was asked by Philip if he actually understood what he was reading. we all came from somewhere, we've had positive encounters with people on our journey; there is no way we would have been here without the help of others. But then again; who teaches us matters, who we listen and submit to matters as well, because when we step outside to interact with others, those our mentors will definately be seen and heard through our coversations and actions.

Every fruit that has become a tree was once on a branch, don't forget where you came from and your values.

May God grant you eternal grace in Jesus Christ' name.
