TOPIC: THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

The name 'Jesus Christ' is a character, not just an identity. Many people see it as someone's name, while those with Holy Spirit understanding see the name as an entity and force that can bring a shift once mentioned. We have heard of men with great names, so that at the mention of those names, kings and nations of the earth tremble. David was one of such, according to 2 Samuel 7:9: 'I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth.'
Today, we have names like Donald J. Trump, the US President, Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, and so on. We all witnessed in late 2025 when the French President and his convoy were halted because the US President was passing that route. That was a complete display of power. In November and December 2025, the name 'Trump' became a nightmare to the political class in Nigeria. The names mentioned above are names of mere mortals who could sleep and not wake up the following day. So powerful, terrifying, frightening, and scary God has made them to be. The question is, if that is creation, how much more the Creator?

People of God, we have a name, force, and entity that at the mention of it, the strong and mighty kings of the earth would tremble. They would melt like ice; strength would leave their bodies and spirits. We have a name that has the capacity to pause the heavens and earth, spirit and flesh, divinity and humanity. No man in the heavens or earth had such, has such, or would have such a name. The name is JESUS CHRIST! Philippians 2:9-11 states: 'Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'
Let me share a testimony. Two years ago, a member of our church was seriously attacked. Prayers were offered, but the attack wouldn't cease. One day, God instructed me to gather the church choir together and offer prayer for the sister who was under attack. I was told to mention the name of JESUS CHRIST seven times. I obeyed and acted as I was instructed. The sister was in the center while we formed a circle around her. When we mentioned Jesus Christ's name for the seventh time, she was carried up above our heads by an unseen power and then dropped on the ground almost lifeless. Right from that evening, the oppressors ceased, and the attack disappeared till date. That is a fraction of what the name JESUS CHRIST can do.
Ephesians 1:20-22 states: 'He exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church.'

Dear believers in Christ, I pray that the eyes of your understanding may be opened so that you can see the name of Jesus as a force, not just an identity. The name is at your disposal; gather the right knowledge of usage through God's word to make that name a working force for you today.

I pray for you, may you encounter the name of Jesus Christ, and it shall change the unchangeable, move the unmovable, and do the undoable in Jesus Christ's name, amen!
