Over the past four weeks, we've explored THE DRIVER OF GODLY PROGRESS: COMPETENCE, CREDIBILITY, CONSISTENCY, and TAKING RESPONSIBILITY.
COMPETENCE (Week 1)- Definition: Having the skills, knowledge, and ability to do something effectively.- Scriptures:- Proverbs 22:29, "The diligent will be rewarded."- 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved."- Application: As believers, we must pursue competence in our areas of calling. It's not about perfection but progression. God expects us to develop our gifts and talents.
CREDIBILITY (Week 2)- Definition: Being trustworthy, reliable, and having a good reputation.- Scriptures:- 1 Timothy 3:7, "He must have a good reputation."- Proverbs 3:3-4, "Let not mercy and truth forsake thee... So shalt thou find favour."- Application: Our character and actions must align with our faith. Credibility earns us influence and opens doors for ministry and impact.
CONSISTENCY (Week 3)- Definition: Maintaining a steady, ongoing effort or commitment.- Scriptures:- 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Be steadfast, immovable."- Hebrews 12:1, "Let us run with perseverance."- Application: Consistency is key to sustainability. It's not about occasional bursts but daily, intentional choices that lead to lasting progress.
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY (Week 4)- Definition: Owning your actions, decisions, and outcomes.- Scriptures:- Matthew 25:21, "Well done, good and faithful servant."- Philippians 3:13-14, "Forgetting what is behind... I press on."- Application: Taking responsibility accelerates growth. It shows maturity and positions you for greater assignments.
Conclusion: These four areas are interconnected; competence builds credibility, consistency sustains it, and taking responsibility propels you forward. As you focus on THE DRIVER OF GODLY PROGRESS, you'll see growth, impact, and fulfillment in your journey.
