FAITH NOT FEAR

Topic: Faith, Not Fear

In this passage, we see Jesus and His disciples in a boat when a great storm arose. The disciples became afraid, but Jesus remained calm. They had forgotten that the One who was with them was greater than the storm they were facing.

Fear will push you into places where there is no solution. When situations arise, two things will always stand before you: faith and fear. The choice you make determines how you respond to the situation.

Many times, because of pressure, disappointment, or depression, people choose fear instead of faith. But for our dependence on God to be complete and genuine, faith must not be an option , it must be the choice.  

True faith means trusting God even when you do not know what the outcome will be. Where there is faith, there is rest. The presence of fear is often the absence of faith.

Three things faith says:

1. Faith says, “God is always with me.” 

No matter how difficult the situation may be, God’s presence remains constant. The disciples were afraid even though Jesus was physically with them. Sometimes, we also forget that God is with us in our storms.

2. Faith says, “It can happen.” 

Faith believes in the possibility of what God has promised, even when human understanding says it is impossible. Faith sees beyond the present situation.

3. Faith says, “I do not mix with fear.”

Faith and fear cannot control the heart at the same time. When faith takes over, fear loses its power.

It was painful that the disciples were still afraid even though Jesus was in the boat with them. This teaches us that being close to God does not mean we will never face storms, but it does mean we have the assurance that we will overcome them.

Faith is not for people who give up easily. The world is designed to make you believe that you cannot achieve what others have achieved, but God chooses people according to His purpose.

You are loved by God. Your situation is not a sign that God hates you. Sometimes, your faith must be tested through real-life situations so that your trust in God can grow stronger.

Whatever happens, remember that God is aware. Nothing takes Him by surprise.  

The circumstances of your birth do not determine the greatness of your future. Your background, limitations, or past experiences cannot stop God’s plan for your life.

Let your faith grow to the point where you can declare:  

“My circumstances do not define me. My past does not limit me. My faith in God determines my future.”

Choose faith over fear, because with God, every storm has an ending and every challenge has a testimony.
